What is token.app?

token.app is a real-time pricing tracker for AI language model APIs and subscriptions. We aggregate token pricing data from OpenRouter and official provider pricing pages, making it easy to compare costs across the rapidly growing AI provider landscape. The site covers 350+ models from 55+ providers and updates every hour.

Data Sources & Methodology

Pricing data is sourced primarily from the OpenRouter Models API, which aggregates publicly listed prices from the major AI providers. We supplement this with direct pricing data from provider pages for subscription products (ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Gemini Advanced, etc.).

Our Cloudflare Worker fetches and normalizes the raw data every hour, extracting: input token price ($/1M tokens), output token price ($/1M tokens), context window size, model release date, and supported input/output modalities (text, vision, audio, reasoning). All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise noted.

Important: Prices shown are for reference only. AI providers can change pricing at any time. Always verify current pricing with the official provider before making billing decisions.

About Measurable AI

token.app is built and maintained by Measurable AI, a data and AI company focused on making AI infrastructure costs transparent and understandable. The site runs on Cloudflare Workers with data stored in Cloudflare KV, making it fast and globally distributed.

We built token.app because AI token pricing is genuinely confusing — providers use different units, price structures, and update their rates frequently. Our goal is a single, always-current reference that developers and product teams can rely on when estimating API costs.
